If you have found yourself drawn to any of the apartments in "Only Murders in the Building", it probably says something about your personality. Check out what the design styles of Charles-Haden Savage, Oliver Putnam, or Mabel Mora says about you!
Join us in making a difference in a child’s life by donating a winter coat & books!
Giving back to the community is one of our greatest privileges and we would like to invite you join us in making a difference in a child’s life right here in the Springfield, MO area. Nothing shows a child love more than spending time with them and taking care of their most basic needs in a practical way.
Unless you’ve been there, it’s hard to imagine being a child and experiencing lingering cold as a result of not having an adequate coat. Add that to the fact that when they return home on a Friday—many walking to and from school in the frigid weather—there is no food in the house for the whole weekend. Cold and hunger are real issues facing children in this area.
Intellectual stimulation, provided through a variety of book topics and genres, can help these children emotionally through these difficult times. Yet, many schools fall quite short in their required books per classroom…sometimes having less than 100 books where the suggested number is close to 1,000! Making a difference in the lives of these young kids is essential to combating a cycle of poverty and illness. Let’s meet these needs head on before the winter months begin!
This year, Gina McMurtrey Interiors is partnering with North Point Church to provide the children of a local, Title 1 elementary school with warm coats and books for their school.
From now through the winter months, consider donating a new coat and new or gently-used books for a child pre-K through 5th Grade. While the North Point event is scheduled for one school on October 12, my personal goal for all of us is to exceed the needs of one school and progress to the next, and the next, and the next.
Together we can change the life of a child, and that child can in turn change our world.
