We re-worked this space to be more efficient for a family that loves to cook and entertain. We replaced the cabinetry and relocated the refrigerator, adding an island and huge pantry area. Additional lighting and a more neutral color scheme makes the room feel more open. The island is a contrasting color in a glazed ivory paint.

The stairway in the hall outside of the kitchen was also updated, removing the last of the golden oak in the house. We also replaced the old tile and wood flooring and added easy-care wood-look tile.
